THANK YOU for your patronage and a great year of plants. Happy growing for 2017
Coming in May, the library will be offering plants and hanging baskets for sale from the Schmaltz Greenhouse in Anamoose. These quality plants are our annual fund raising event and provide beauty to Maddock and homes for the whole summer. Starting Wednesday, May 10 the shop across from the city offices will be open Monday through Friday and Saturday, May 13 to make sure you get your Mothers Day flowers.
The North Dakota State Library awarded the Maddock Community Library the 2017 North Dakota Star Library Award for going above and beyond with the service they provide to their community. Maddock Community Library was compared to other libraries in North Dakota with similar operating expenditures. They ranked in the top three libraries of their category. The awards were given based on circulation, central branch service hours, program attendance, combined computer and WiFi usage, and the percentage of North Dakota Library Coordinating Council Standards for Public Libraries met.
In July the library is offering the following opportunities to read, move and have fun with a summer reading theme:
ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, READ
July 7 is Fuel Your Engine
July 14 is Move It
July 28 in Sports Day
All times are at 10 AM on Thursdays.
From Mothers Day through Memorial Day, the library offers plants and pots and hanging baskets for the community of Maddock.
We are set up in the grey shop across from City Office and open from 9 to 5 unless otherwise posted. We love to bring a service to the community and at the same time bring in needed funds to operate the new library location in the Harriman Building.
Come and check out what is growing at the library.
